Fall is a beautiful time of year around Binghamton, NY, and there are many fun activities to enjoy with your family. One of the most popular ways to experience the fall season is to visit a local pumpkin farm. Our local farms offer a variety of activities for all ages, including hayrides, corn mazes, pumpkin picking, and cider tastings.

Fun Fall Destinations Less Than 30 Minutes from Binghamton

Apple Hills 
Family farm where visitors can pick apples, take a hayride, navigate a corn maze, pet the farm animals, and more. 
Apple Hills also has a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch, as well as a market where visitors can purchase fresh produce, baked goods, and other local products. Farm activities are only available on the weekends and apple picking hours vary, so you'll want to call or check their Facebook page before visiting.

Binghamton Pumpkin Farm 
Roadside farm that offers affordable pumpkins and other seasonal produce and products. 
The store is typically open Monday through Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm in September and October, but you'll want to call or check their Facebook page for updates.

The Cider Mill 
Open daily 7am-6pm offering fresh-made doughnuts, cider, NYS apples, pumpkins, and other seasonal products. 
The cider being sold fresh each day is always available to sample because different apples are ripening and being pressed throughout the season. If you visit on Saturdays and Sundays, you'll get to watch the apples getting pressed on site.

Jackson's Farm

Open daily 10am-6pm with pumpkins and seasonal products available.

Jackson's Farm has a number of pumpkin people, decorated haybales, and play areas for young kids to enjoy at no cost. If you visit on the weekends, you can also experience a number of activities including corn cannon, mini zips, slingshot, farm slide, haunted barn, baseball fast pitch, farm bounce, pumpkin pounder, zombie paintball, jack-be-littles, monster zips obstacle course, pumpkin train, straw crawl, tire-rific tree house, gemstone mine, hayride, swings 'n' things, face painting, and pumpkin pick 'n' paint. Tickets are $1.50 each. Wristbands are $25.

Russell Farms 
Open Monday - Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm with u-pick apples and a variety of fresh produce and baked goods. 
On weekends, visitors can enjoy the the corn maze, hayrides, and yard activities from 10am-5pm. Wristbands for ages 2+ are $15.

Frog Pond Farms 
Farmers market open daily where you can visit the farm animals including goats, ducks, chickens, cows, pigs, turkeys, and more.

Iron Kettle Farm 
Fall family fun destination with a huge display of pumpkin people, decorated haybales, and plenty of other fun props for photo opportunities. 
Daily activities include hayrides, pumpkin express train, play yard, corn maze, castle tunnel, tire mountain, barnyard ball, spook barn, pumpkin sling shot, fun barn, and a farm obstacle course. Tickets for activities are $1.50 each or $15/dozen. Wristbands are available weekends only for $15.

Stoughton Farm
Roadside farm market offering pumpkins and a variety of produce daily. 
From Monday-Saturday, the 8-acre corn maze opens at 9am. On weekends, visitors can enjoy hay rides, cow train rides, pumpkin blaster, corn cannon, jumping pillow, 'friendly fire', and a Nerf battleground. Free attractions include 9ft tall tube slides, play sand pile, corn box, tug-of-war, human sized spider web, tic-tac-toe, duck race, and roller bowler.
