Description
The Czech National Philharmonic Orchestra of Moravia is one of the leading and oldest symphony orchestras of the Czech Republic. Based in the historic capital city of Olomouc in the heart of the Moravia region, the orchestra celebrates its 79th concert season in 2024-25. The Czech National Philharmonic Orchestra is a cultural institution that contributes substantially to the organization of artistic and concert life in Moravia, organizing both the Dvořák Olomouc Festival and the International Organ Festival Olomouc, in addition to presenting educational activities for children and touring internationally.
This Sunday afternoon program showcases the work of celebrated Czech composers, featuring performances of Bedřich Smetana’s Overture to the Bartered Bride and two works by Antonín Dvořák: Violin Concerto in A minor Op. 53 and Symphony No. 7 in D minor, Op. 70.
