Broome County Health Department Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program helps families affected by lead poisoning with care coordination and in-home lead inspections. Our certified lead risk assessors identify sources of lead and work with the homeowner to fix the lead safely, including a free EPA Lead Renovator Certification Class. Lead inspections are FREE for all children with high lead levels, children under the age of 6, and pregnant people living in Broome County.

Broome County Health Department Vaccines for Children Program provides vaccines for kids whose parents of caregivers may not be able to afford them. Anyone 18 or younger who is uninsured, under-insured, eligible for Medicaid or Child Health Plus, American Indian, or Alaska Native can receive vaccines at no cost!
