The Binghamton Philharmonic is preparing to kick off its 2024-2025 season, offering something for everyone. From classical masterpieces to toe-tapping pops and interactive family events, there's a program to delight every music lover.

FAMILY SYMPHONY SESSIONS
Family Symphony Sessions are free, interactive music experiences for children up to age 17 and their families. This season, these engaging programs will take place at 6:30pm on September 26, 2024; November 14, 2024; and February 27, 2025 at the Broome County Forum Theatre in Binghamton, NY. Families can enjoy lively discussions about the music, learn historical songs and dances, and even watch Philharmonic musicians warm up for rehearsal. As a special bonus, first-time adult attendees receive complimentary tickets to the upcoming performance! Register in advance to reserve a spot!
Thursday, September 26: The Music of Nature Chat about Beethoven's music and his love of nature, learn a traditional Austrian dance, and listen to the orchestra rehearse for Restless Oceans. |
Thursday, November 14: Painting Pictures with Sound Chat about how composers paint pictures with music, learn a traditional Scottish folk dance, and listen to the orchestra rehearse for Thresholds. |
Thursday, February 27: Music and Memories Chat about music and memories, learn a traditional African American clapping game, and listen to the orchestra rehearse for A Tribute to the American Spirit. |
SYMPHONIC & POPS CONCERTS AT THE FORUM
The Binghamton Philharmonic is bringing a diverse and exciting lineup of concerts to the Broome County Forum Theatre this season! Tickets are priced at $28-$69, with children 17 and under admitted free.

7:30pm Saturday, October 26: Dancing Queen: The Music of ABBA Pops Concert Jeans ‘n Classics perform a rousing tribute to the music of the legendary band ABBA, accompanied by a full orchestra. |
7:30pm Saturday, November 16: Thresholds Symphonic Concert The timeless traditions of folk, sacred, and concert music combine with innovative orchestral experiments in this energizing program featuring "Thresholds" by Hilary Purrington, the Hebrides Overture by Felix Mendelssohn, and the Symphony No. 6 by Anton Bruckner. |

3:30pm Saturday, February 1: Little Symphonies Symphonic Concert This program is a smorgasbord of brief orchestral works by Mozart, Schubert, Bartók, and young composer Quinn Mason. |
7:30pm Saturday, March 1: Pops at the Forum: A Tribute to the American Spirit Pops Concert The annual “Pops at the Forum” concert celebrates the vision, innovation, and resilience of the American spirit with music that crosses the divide between pops and classical, while simultaneously celebrating the close of Black History Month. |
7:30pm Saturday, March 29: In the Beginning Symphonic Concert Beloved piano soloist Andrew Russo joins the Philharmonic to perform Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Sonata No. 3, one of the most fiendishly difficult pieces in the entire piano repertoire. The program also includes "In the Beginning" by Einojuhani Rautavaara and the Symphony No. 3 by Jean Sibelius. |
7:30pm Saturday, May 3: She's Got Soul Pops Concert The stunning voice of Broadway powerhouse Capathia Jenkins joins the orchestra for a tribute to the music of Motown and the greatest hits of 70s soul and R&B. |
PHELPS MANSION MUSEUM SERIES
Again this season, the Binghamton Philharmonic presents a Sunday afternoon concert series at the historic Phelps Mansion in Binghamton, NY. Enjoy performances in the elegant mansion for just $28 per ticket. All shows are at 3pm, and there are no free tickets for children.

10TH ANNUAL MAC & CHEESE FEST
Indulge your cheesy cravings while supporting the arts! The Binghamton Philharmonic's annual Mac and Cheese Fest will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Binghamton, NY. The fest features a delicious array of mac and cheese creations from local restaurants. Enjoy live music, all-you-can-eat mac and cheese samplings, and friendly competition as you vote for your favorite cheesy dish. Tickets are $25.
