Summer is just around the corner, and the Town of Vestal Recreation Department has dozens of exciting programs and free events to keep your kids entertained and engaged! From free supervised play at Vestal parks to skill-building camps, refreshing swim lessons, and delightful outdoor entertainment, there's something for everyone.
Vestal Summer CampsThe Town of Vestal Recreation Department is offering a wide range of Summer Camps for ages 4 and up. Camps include: Baseball, Advanced Baseball, Cheerleading, Co-ed Flag Football, Softball, Co-ed Basketball, Girls Lacrosse, Boys Lacrosse, Elite Basketball, Girls Flag Football, Volleyball, Co-ed Soccer, Acting, Running, Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Field Hockey, Girls Advanced Soccer, Tennis Lessons, Pickleball Lessons and Swimming Lessons. Outdoor Pool & Splash PadThe new Vestal Memorial Pool and splash pad on Clayton Ave will be open mid-June through August 31st, giving the community a place to enjoy refreshing swims and water fun from 12-8pm daily, weather permitting. Until the school year ends, weekday hours will be 4-8pm. Admission is affordable, with $1 entry for children under 18 and $2 for adults and senior citizens. Beat the heat and save with season passes available online at vestalny.myrec.com. Free Supervised Playground ProgramFrom July 1 - August 9, 2024, the Town of Vestal Recreation Department invites your kids to spend a morning, afternoon or both (Mon-Fri. 9am - 12pm & 1pm - 4pm) at African Road Park, Stair Park, and Vestal Center Park. A variety of crafts, games, literature, and special events will be provided for their enjoyment. Make new friends and create new memories. All supervised playground activities are FREE and open to children ages 5 & up. Children younger than five years are welcome to attend, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Free Summer Movie NightsFree outdoor movies return to Arnold Park this summer! Pack your chairs, snacks, and crew for Tarzan on July 18th and Kung Fu Panda 4 on August 15th. Movies begin at 8:30pm with free popcorn for all. |
Concerts in the ParkFree summer concerts return to the Vestal Gazebo (Four Corners) every Tuesday evening, June 18th - August 13th from 7-8:30pm. Bring your lawn chairs, family, and friends for live music, free face painting, and candy for the kids! The concerts will feature performances by Swing Street Jazztet, Island Hoppers, Fair Winds Trio, Southern Tier Brass, Haze & Dacey, Music Unlimited Little Big Band, Mason Warrington Orchestra, Brothers and Friends, and Storm Front. Rain cancellations are decided at showtime.You can also enjoy free Thursday evening concerts by the Vestal Community Band at Arnold Park (Shelter #3).Catch them every week from July 11th to August 22nd (excluding August 8th), 6:30-7:30pm. |
Front Street DayOn Saturday, June 1 from 10am-3pm, enjoy the Town of Vestal's Front Street Day, a free family event featuring over 70 vendors, food trucks, a Kids Fun Zone, plus Town trucks and emergency vehicles. It's all happening on Front Street between Main and Elizabeth Streets. |
Summer CelebrationSave the date for the Summer Celebration at Arnold Park on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 5-9pm! This free event features inflatables, a DJ, face painting, a juggler, carnival games, henna, fire trucks, and more! Food will also be available for purchase.
