Join us on Friday, July 4th, 2025, for an Independence Day celebration of “We the People”!
PARADE & CELEBRATION:
The festivities begin with Springfield's 4th of July Parade, kicking off its 111th year at 11:00am in Springfield Center, NY.
Follow the parade to the Springfield Community Center for a patriotic celebration with music by the Camden Continentals Fife & Drum Corp and the Cooperstown Community Band, Brooks’ chicken barbecue, homemade pie, Springfield Historical Society Open House, games, raffles, and more! Free Parade Parking is available at the Springfield Community Center.
Established in 1914, Springfield’s 4th of July Parade is one of the oldest Independence Day parades in the country, welcoming fire departments, veterans’ groups, and community organizations from all over the region to be honored in a nearly hour-long parade featuring floats, marching bands, equestrians, and lots of surprises.
EVENING CONCERT & FIREWORKS:
After the 4th of July Parade and Celebration in Springfield Center, head to the beach at GLIMMERGLASS STATE PARK for an evening concert featuring local rockers SCATTERED FLURRIES starting at 7:30pm, followed by a display of FIREWORKS at 9:30pm!
