2024 Calendar of Events for Candor's 150th Annual July 4th Celebration
(All events will be held at the McNeil Pavilion/Ballfield on Rte. 96, 35 Spencer Ave., Candor N.Y unless otherwise stated!)
Thursday, July 4th
July 4th Parade - 10am Theme: Famous Logos/Mascots sponsored by Tioga State Bank and Candor Chamber of Commerce
The Parade starts at 10AM from Church Street, goes up Owego Street to Main Street then to Spencer Avenue, ending at the Carnival Grounds.
Airborne Inflatables & July 4th Celebration Committee's July 4th Waterpark - 11:30am -2:30pm McNeil Park/Ballfield, 30 Spencer Rd.
Don Foster-DJ and Carnival Games - 11:30-2:30pm
American Legion Auxiliary's Annual Chicken BBQ - 11am until gone
Friday, July 5th
Fireworks - Young Explosives Corporation - On the Carnival Grounds, Spencer Ave. at Dusk
American Legion and Candor Fire Dept. Color Guards Flag Ceremony at Dusk
Kiddie Parade - 5pm - Theme: Favorite Cartoon Character
Line-up at 4:30pm at the high school parking lot. The route goes along Main street and ends on Spencer Road near the ball field. All ages are welcome. It’s not a drop off style so parents will need to be with their kids the whole route.
Kids can walk, bike, or wagons/strollers can be used. Small floats can be made but must be pulled by a small engine like ATV or riding mower. Small gifts are given at the end of parade so pre-registration is required by calling (607) 768-2042. Those without kids or grandkids are encouraged to come line Main Street and wave to the kids because they love a crowd too.

Gary Jennings Bend - Flashback - 5:30-7:30pm
Burn the Boats Band - Casey Smith- 7pm-9pm at the "Beer Tent"

Saturday, July 6th
Everett Swansbrough's Open Car Show sponsored by Marshall Balzer's Finishline Auto - McNeil Park/Ballfield, 30 Spencer Rd., Gates open at 10am - Awards at 2pm
Candor Community Chorus - 7pm at the Candor High School Auditorium
Sunday, July 7th
Horse Pull - Side Hill Acres Goat Farm - Gates open @8am. Pull Starts @1pm.
Concession (Country Diner, Spencer, NY), Vendors, Calcutta Auction, Basket & 50/50 Raffles
