The annual Oz-Stravaganza Festival is the largest and longest running Wizard of Oz themed festival in the world. The magic lives on for a weekend every year in Chittenango, NY (just outside Syracuse).
Join us the weekend of the first Saturday in June (May 31- June 2, 2024) for a trip down the Yellow Brick Road. There will be new friends to meet, entertainment to amaze, Emerald City shopping at its finest with vendors from near and far, as well as rides, games, a silent auction, and entertainment on the stage. There is also a costume contest, coloring contest, writing contest, special guests from across the OZ universe, and lots of surprises along the way!
The 2024 festival is going to be the best yet, with a lineup of special guests unlike any other. Learn about the movie magic behind the scenes on the MGM film “The Wizard of Oz” and see the special effects like never before. Join us as we learn about the magic behind “Buddy” Gillespie’s twister, yellow brick road, flying monkeys and more! Hear from the daughter of the Cowardly Lion as she shares stories of her famous father. Be amazed by a Broadway composer and hear about his latest project “New Songs From Oz”, meet OZ dignitaries, authors, artists, and make some new friends along the way.
Whether your slippers are silver or ruby red, take three steps, or click your heels three times and remember…there’s no place like home!
