Description
Join us for the return of a favorite community tradition; the Johnson City, NY Holiday Parade! Parade runs down the popular Main Street, beginning at Lester Avenue and Main Street and continue west to the Arch Street bridge.
Event begins at 7:00 p.m. EST. Arrive early to find the perfect spot!
Here are a few key pieces of information you will need, as you attend the parade:
1. Arrive early to secure your spot! Parking will be available on side streets and in accordance to local parking guidelines. Streets will begin closing at approximately 6:30 p.m.
2. Dress warm! Weather is predicted to be seasonable with no precipitation. With the amount of floats and participants we expect, the parade will last approximately 45 minutes.
3. After the parade, join volunteers at Sarah Jane Johnson Church (near Wilson Hospital) for cookies & cocoa.
5. Take photographs! We can't be every where during the parade, but would love to see the joy the parade brings to you, your family, and your friends. Following the parade, we will create a post to submit photographs.
6. Continue the fun this Friday and Saturday at Carousel Days at CFJ Park from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
7. And last but not least, thank a volunteer. No, we're not talking about the organizing committee. Please extend your thanks and appreciation to the Village of Johnson City, Village of Johnson City Department of Public Works, and Johnson City Police Department.
