Description

Carnival Rides and Treats returns to the New York State Fairgrounds Midway to kick off Independence Week with an expanded Family Fun Event that includes three nights of Fireworks, new food options and more rides and games! The event takes place June 30th, July 1st and 2nd with a huge family friendly carnival and fireworks on all three nights in the skies over the Fairgrounds.

Carnival Rides and Treats hours are 4-10pm June 30th with fireworks at 9:45pm, 12-10pm on the 1st fireworks at 9:45pm and 12-10pm on the 2nd with fireworks at 9:45pm at the Midway at the New York State Fairgrounds. Admission to the Event is FREE. Attendees will enter gate 6 at the Fairgrounds. Parking is also FREE before 6pm and only $15 per carload after 6pm.

The expanded festival will feature approximately 20 carnival rides*, including several new rides, as well as old favorites such as the Tilt-A-Whirl, bumper cars, fun house, merry-go-round, and an Avengers-themed ride. All-you-can-ride wristbands are available for only $30.

Additionally, Carnival Rides and Treats will be adding more games of skill and chance with bigger and better prizes. Also there will be Air Brush Face Painting with almost a hundred options from super-heroes, princesses to amazing animal designs.

Carnival Rides and Treats will also feature all the Fair Food Favorites everyone has come to expect. From gyros to Italian sausage provided by Big Kahuna’s to baked potato and roasted corn from Baked Potato Express. Ashley Lynn Winery will have a Red, White and Blue slushie to celebrate the weekend.

The fireworks spectacular will take place on Both Friday, June 30th at 9:45pm and Saturday, July 1st at 9:45pm from Majestic Fireworks. The Midway and the parking lot next to the Expo Center will provide an outstanding view of the show. Parking is free before 6pm each day, after 6pm there is a minimal charge of $15 for parking per carload. Parking fees must be paid by card and no cash will be accepted.

Allen LaVenture, promoter of the event, said, “This is our fourth year of the Independence Event at the Fairgrounds and it gets bigger and better every year. When you think of the Fairgrounds you think of families, fun, rides and of course, the food. Having two nights of fireworks, just makes for an amazing weekend.”
