In the spirit of film noir and detective stories of the 40s and 50s, Edward Barnes’ Mystery on the Docks combines singing and comfort food with a dash of intrigue. When international opera star, Edwina Bombastina, goes missing, it’s up to short-order cook and opera superfan, Ralph, to whip up a plan to save her. But when Ralph runs out of ideas, will Edwina’s suggestion get them out of their jam? Tri-Cities Opera invites you to Pier 46 in Ratville for a story of friendship and reliance on your inner voice in times of trouble until things are shipshape again. Based on the book by Thacher Hurd.
This performance is part of The Discovery Center's Annual Book Fest that begins at 11am. There will be a book exchange as well as crafts and activities from the Binghamton City School District PACT Program, Family Enrichment Network, WSKG, Vestal Public Library, and George F. Johnson Memorial Library. All you need for free admission is a library card. Don’t have one yet? No worries! Librarians from the 4 County Library System will be on site to sign you up.
