Calling all Southern Tier pizza lovers - and bookworms! If you grew up in the 80s, 90s, or 2000s, you likely have fond memories of the classic Pizza Hut BOOK IT! program—the thrill of hitting your reading goals and earning that delicious, golden-crusted Personal Pan Pizza.
The great news? The tradition continues! Pizza Hut has officially brought back their BOOK IT! “Summer of Stories” program for 2026, giving our local kids a fun, tasty incentive to keep their noses in books all summer long.
How It Works
The program is designed to keep kids in pre-K through sixth grade engaged with reading from June 1 through August 31.
- Set Goals: Parents can sign up their children through the BOOK IT! mobile app.
- Track Progress: Use the app to set custom reading goals for your little ones.
- Earn Rewards: Once a goal is met, kids earn a digital reading award certificate that can be redeemed for a free, one-topping Personal Pan Pizza!
- Keep Reading: Students can earn one certificate per month throughout the summer.
Special One-Day Surprise!
Did you keep your original BOOK IT! button from years past? If you’re feeling nostalgic, bring your vintage button to a participating Pizza Hut location Wednesday, June 10, to score a free Personal Pan Pizza! This is a fun way to share a piece of your own childhood with your kids. The one-day vintage button offer ends at 10:00PM or when supplies are exhausted.
Where to Redeem
Whether you’re redeeming a summer reading reward or celebrating with a vintage button, you can visit our local Pizza Hut right here in Johnson City:
