WSKG Public Media is hosting Be My Neighbor Day on Saturday, March 21st, and it’s the perfect free outing for the whole family. Inspired by the heart-warming lessons of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, this event is all about celebrating our community and learning how to be a great neighbor.
What to Expect
WSKG is packing the day with movement and creativity. With over 40 local community organizations on-site, there is plenty to explore.
Live Demonstrations & Performances: Get ready to move! There will be a rotating schedule of performances that are as fun to watch as they are to try:
- Irish Dancing: High-energy footwork to get everyone clapping.
- Juggling: Always a crowd-favorite for the kiddos.
- Tai Chi, Yoga, & Kung Fu: Great ways to introduce the family to new ways of moving and staying mindful.
Hands-On Fun: Between the performances, kids can dive into various crafts and activities designed to spark creativity. It’s a great chance to meet the people behind the local organizations that make the Southern Tier a great place to live.
