Free Youth Sports Clinic with the Binghamton Bearcats on February 7

Youth in grades 1 through 6 are invited to a FREE all-sports clinic and Women's Basketball Game

By Kate Fletcher, Macaroni KID Binghamton Publisher January 21, 2026

Binghamton University is set to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, February 7, 2026. This annual event combines the excitement of a Division I basketball game with a hands-on multi-sport clinic designed to inspire the next generation of female athletes.

Game Day and Multi-Sport Clinic

The afternoon begins at the Events Center, where the Binghamton Women’s Basketball team faces off against NJIT at 12:00pm. Following the game, the focus shifts to the West Gym for an All-Sports Clinic. Designed for children in grades 1 through 6, the clinic welcomes all experience levels—from seasoned players to those trying a sport for the very first time.

Interactive Drills and Athlete Mentorship

Participants will rotate through interactive stations and drills led by student-athletes from Binghamton’s diverse women’s teams. This format allows youth to explore multiple sports and gain exposure to various athletic paths. The session concludes with a dedicated Q&A and meet-and-greet, where girls can ask the Bearcats about teamwork, perseverance, and the collegiate athlete experience.

Free Registration and Family Perks

Registration is free and includes several perks for local families:

  • Game Tickets: Each participant receives three tickets (one for the athlete and two for guests).
  • Official Gear: Every participant receives a commemorative t-shirt.
  • Additional Guests: Extra tickets for the basketball game can be purchased for $10 each at the box office.

Important Attendance Details

To ensure safety, the university requires a parent or guardian to remain with their child throughout both the game and the clinic. Check-in takes place at the Events Center Ticket Office between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Limited Space and Waitlist Information

Capacity is limited to 55 participants, so early registration is highly encouraged. If the clinic is full, families can join a waitlist by emailing rbrown33@binghamton.edu in case of cancellations.

Event Schedule: Saturday, February 7
