One of the best things about The Story Garden is its accessibility. You can visit daily from dawn to dusk, making it a perfect spot for some fresh air and play any day of the week. While some of the fantastic buildings and play accessories are available during museum hours (Mon-Fri 10am-3pm, Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 12-5pm), there's still plenty to explore at any time!
New This Summer: The Enchanted Fairy House and Magical Music Garden!
Last fall, The Story Garden unveiled an amazing pirate ship playground that has been a huge hit, sparking countless swashbuckling adventures. But this summer, the magic has truly blossomed with the expansion of the Enchanted Cove Playground, featuring a brand new Fairy House and a captivating Magical Music Garden!
Our kids immediately gravitated towards the Fairy House, and it's easy to see why! It's absolutely beautiful, with a charming kid-sized door for little ones to duck through, as well as an adult-sized door with an accessible path for everyone to enter. Inside, it's a wonderland! Adorable, hand-painted kid-sized Adirondack chairs invite little ones to sit and imagine, while a kid-sized table and stools shaped like whimsical mushrooms complete the fairy-tale setting. There's even a ladder leading to a cozy loft, perfect for secret meetings and imaginative play. The moment they stepped inside, our children were lost in a world of make-believe.
Make Some Joyful Noise in the Magical Music Garden!
Surrounding the new Fairy House, you'll discover the just-completed Magical Music Garden. This isn't just any playground addition – these are truly special outdoor instruments, hand-selected and shipped all the way from Percussion Play in London, England, a leading manufacturer of outdoor musical instruments.
The beauty of these instruments is that they are designed to be effortlessly played and enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. There's no need for musical training; simply step up and create beautiful sounds together! Music is a universal language, and here, everyone has the potential to make harmonious tunes. Watching kids and adults alike discover the joy of making music together is truly gratifying.
