Looking for a fun and engaging way to introduce your child to the world of science? Kopernik Observatory & Science Center has just announced dates for its Spring Session of KoperniKids! This program offers a fun, kid-friendly approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) exploration designed especially for children ages 3 to 6.

Each 90-minute session is filled with hands-on learning, fun experiments, and songs that will spark your child's curiosity and encourage them to explore the wonderful world of science. Each session has a different theme, so there's always something new to discover!

Here's a look at the upcoming spring classes:

KoperniKids Programs

Hands-on STEM Adventures for Ages 3-6

Earth, Moon, and Sun

Saturday, February 14 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Embark on an adventure through space! Explore the planetarium, learn about universal colors, visit the telescopes, and create space-themed crafts.

Cost: $20-$25

Geology Rocks!

Saturday, March 14 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Put observation skills to the test exploring rocks, soil, and water. Discover what happens when rocks get wet and which materials sink or float.

Cost: $20-$25

Butterflies and Moths

Saturday, May 16 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Explore the fascinating world of pollinators. Learn about life cycles, create growth stage models, and discover why these insects are vital to our world.

Cost: $20-$25

Not a Box

Saturday, June 13 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Inspired by the beloved book, use creativity and problem-solving to transform ordinary boxes into extraordinary creations!

Cost: $20-$25

Program Details:

• Where: Kopernik Observatory & Science Center, 698 Underwood Road, Vestal, NY.
• Cost: Kopernik Members: $20 per session per child; Non-Members: $25 per session per child. One adult is required to stay with the child and attends for free.
