The Binghamton Philharmonic is preparing to warm up your winter with both an engaging free family program and their highly anticipated "Pops at the Forum" concert.

Family Fun with "Music and Memories"

The free Family Symphony Session, "Music and Memories," will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, February 27 at the Broome County Forum Theatre. This interactive event invites families to delve into the fascinating connection between music and memory. The session will explore the question, "What would you take with you on a long journey? Can you pack music in your suitcase?" Participants will learn a traditional African American clapping game and get a special behind-the-scenes look as the orchestra prepares for rehearsal. This is a fantastic opportunity for children and families to experience the magic of orchestral music in a relaxed and welcoming environment. First-time adult concert-goers will receive complimentary tickets to the Philharmonic's Saturday night "Pops at the Forum" concert, and children 17 and under always attend these family sessions for free! This program is made possible by the generous sponsorship of IBM Endicott. Sign up for free today!

A Patriotic "Pops at the Forum"

Just a few days later, on Saturday, March 1st at 7:30pm, the Philharmonic will present "Pops at the Forum: A Tribute to the American Spirit." This uplifting concert celebrates the ingenuity and resilience of the American spirit through a diverse selection of music by renowned American composers. The program features a blend of pops and classical pieces, including works by Duke Ellington, Richard Rodgers, Florence Price, and John Philip Sousa. This concert offers a unique opportunity to celebrate both the rich tapestry of American music and the close of Black History Month. "Pops at the Forum" promises an evening of inspiring and toe-tapping music that will leave you feeling proud and patriotic. Kids 17 and under attend for free thanks to the generous support of Visions Federal Credit Union, the Pops Series Sponsor. Get your tickets online at binghamtonphilharmonic.org or call the Box Office at 607-723-3931. For free children's tickets, please call the Box Office.
