Free Classes Offered by Girls Who Code at Binghamton University

The Spring Session runs Saturdays from February 1- April 19, 2025

Girls Who Code at Binghamton University is back for another exciting season, and they're inviting middle and high school girls (both new and returning!) to join the fun.

This free ten-week program is designed to introduce girls to the ever-growing field of computer science. Participants will learn valuable coding skills, meet inspiring women working in the tech industry, connect with other girls who share your passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and develop skills that will benefit you in everyday life.

Ready to level up your coding game?

Girls Who Code at Binghamton University is offering three FREE in-person classes this spring:

  • Beginner Python: Dive into the world of coding with this introductory course in Python, a versatile programming language used for everything from building websites to analyzing data.
  • Introduction to Java: Take the next step in your coding journey with this course that explores Java, another popular language used to create everything from mobile apps to video games.
  • Introduction to Web Development: Want to learn how websites are built? This course will introduce you to the basics of web development, teaching you how to create your own web pages and understand the code that makes the internet work.

Here are the key details:

  • Class schedule: Every Saturday February 1- April 19, 2025 (excluding University breaks)
  • Who can apply: Middle and high school girls
  • Application deadline: January 13, 2025
