O Tannenbaum, the Tioga County Historical Society's Annual Holiday Display and Auction, is back for its 23rd year! This FREE festive event takes place from November 7 to December 13, 2025, at the museum located at 110 Front St in Owego, New York. The museum is open to the public Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm with extended hours on December 5 (10am-8pm) and December 13 (10am-7pm).

Visitors can enjoy a spectacular display of holiday trees, wreaths, and other items donated by the community. All of the items are on display throughout the museum as part of a silent auction.

Letters to Santa

This year, O Tannenbaum will once again feature Santa's magical mailbox! Kids are invited to write their letters to Santa and drop them in the mailbox. Santa's elves will collect the letters and send them to the North Pole. Be sure to help your little ones write their address correctly so they can get a letter back from Santa!

Closing Reception

The culmination of the O Tannenbaum silent auction takes place 6-7pm on December 13, 2025 with raffle drawings and a closing reception. All proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Tioga County Historical Society.

O Tannenbaum is a great way to get into the holiday spirit and support the Tioga County Historical Society, a non-profit organization that preserves and promotes the history of Tioga County.
