Get ready for a fun outdoor adventure!

The Moss House Forest School is again offering Playfully Wild! nature classes for toddlers, preschoolers, and young school-age children and their caregivers. This drop-in program will meet at Shelter 7 at Lower Highland Park in Endwell, NY on Thursdays from 10-11:30am, starting September 12th and continuing through November.

Each week, participants get to explore a new topic and spend time enjoying the beauty of Lower Highland Park. Guided activities are designed to spark curiosity and creativity, but children are also encouraged to take the lead and follow their own interests. Activities may include crafting, building, cooking, and nature studies.

Why we love Playfully Wild!

  • Developmentally and Environmentally Appropriate: The program combines whole-child development and environmental literacy for a unique learning experience.
  • Lifelong Connection to Nature: Children will develop a deep appreciation for the natural world and become part of a community of friends.
  • Enhanced Social and Emotional Skills: Forest school helps children build resilience, self-confidence, and well-being.
  • Guided Exploration: The program offers guided activities, but also allows children to follow their own curiosity and interests.
  • Unique Learning Experience: Unlike traditional preschools, forest school allows children to learn through play and exploration.

Drop in for Playfully Wild! and discover the wonders of nature together.

The cost is $7 per child, with a maximum of $14 per family. No registration is necessary. Simply show up at Shelter #7 at Lower Highland Park to join the fun! For updates about the class and other programs, follow The Moss House on Facebook.
