SUNY Broome Ice Center is Back Open for Skating!

The Ice Center has released schedules for Open Skate, Lunch Skate, and Skate & Shoot sessions

Lace up your skates and hit the ice at the SUNY Broome Ice Center in Binghamton! The rink is now back open for public skating, including lunch skates and open skates. Rental hockey and figure skates (sizes youth 7 to adult 14) are available as well as skating assist bars for children (no additional fee).

Hours and Pricing:

  • Lunch Skate: 11:30am - 1pm Monday-Friday
    • General Admission: $5
    • SUNY Broome Student/Faculty/Staff/Alumni: $4
    • Skate Rental: $3
  • Open SkateWeekends
    • Adult Admission: $7
    • Student Admission (17 & under): $6
    • SUNY Broome Students/Faculty/Staff/Alumni: $5
    • Skate Rental: $5
  • Skate & ShootEvenings 
    • Admission: $10
    • Hockey helmets mandatory
    • Full hockey equipment highly recommended

Skate Sharpening Pricing:

  • Normal Skate Sharpening: $10
  • Sharpening Rusted Skates: $15
  • Sharpening Brand New Skates: $15

September Open Skate Schedule:

  • Friday, September 6: 8-9:15pm
  • Saturday, September 7: 2:15-3:30pm and 7:15-8:30pm
  • Saturday, September 8: 1:45-3pm
  • Friday, September 13: 9-10:15pm
  • Saturday, September 14: 2:15-3:30pm
  • Saturday, September 21: 2:15-3:30pm and 7-8:15pm
  • Saturday, September 28: 2:15-3:30pm and 8:30-9:45pm

Ice Skating Lessons

The Binghamton Figure Skating Club offers a Learn-to-Skate program at the SUNY Broome Ice Center. This program focuses on the general fundamentals of skating and is perfect for ages 4+. The next session will start in late-September.
