Get ready for a day of music, fun, and community at the 9th Annual Binghamton Porchfest! This free, family-friendly event takes place on Sunday, August 25th from 12-7pm in the Abel Bennett Tract.
Choose from almost 200 performances by over 140 local and regional musicians on over 60 of porches throughout the neighborhood. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and soak up the vibrant atmosphere as you dance in the streets and reconnect with friends.
New this year is the Porchfest Kids Village!
In addition to the music, from 11am-3pm at Rec Park, families can enjoy a variety of fun activities and games hosted by local organizations.
Kids Village Activities:
- Make a whimsical butterfly or dragonfly ring with ARTventure Kids Club
- Meet Binghamton University Bearcats Athletics with a special appearance by Baxter the Bearcat from 12-1pm
- Color with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies’ mascots, Rowdy and Ruby
- Let your imagination run wild in the Porchfest playhouse with the City of Binghamton Parks and Recreation Department
- Learn why animals sing with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County
- Create your own fabulous bracelet, play a round or two of Plinko, and win fun prizes with the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways
- Fun crafts and friendly competition with Healthy Kids Running Series - Binghamton
- Test out your balance on an inflatable teeter totter, and practice your aim with bean bag bowling with Kidz Kingdom LLC
- Explore animal artifacts, and play a round of animal habitat match ‘em up with the Ross Park Zoo
- Make a magical musical fairy wand with The Moss House
- Make watercolor bookmarks with Uncorked Creations
- Learn something new and have fun with WSKG
