Get ready for fun and fitness! The Healthy Kids Running Series is back and kicking off this September at Otsiningo Park North in Binghamton. This popular five-week program encourages kids of all ages and abilities to lace up their sneakers and race.
Calling All Young Athletes!
Designed for children in Pre-K through 8th grade, the series features weekly age-appropriate races ranging from 50-yard dashes to a challenging mile run. Young athletes compete for points, with top finishers in each distance category receiving well-deserved trophies at the end of the series. All participants will cross the finish line as winners, earning a celebratory medal for their efforts.
The Noah Farrelly Memorial Fund is offering full-season scholarships for up to 20 Binghamton City School District students in grades 4- 8 to participate at no cost! Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. E-mail your child's name, grade, and school name to noahfarrellymemorialfund@gmail.com to request a free registration.
Inclusive Race Options
The Healthy Kids Running Series also welcomes children with disabilities or special needs through its Challenger Division. This inclusive program offers a 75-yard race with added support from parents, siblings, and friends. Runners in the Challenger Division can utilize assistive devices such as crutches, braces, or wheelchairs to participate and enjoy the thrill of competition.
Race Details and Registration
The Fall 2024 series takes place at Otsiningo Park North, Howell Dr, Binghamton, NY, on five Sundays from September 8 to October 6. Races begin at 12:30 PM, starting with the youngest runners.
To join the fun, early bird registration is open now for $48.70 per child. The price increases to $54 after August 18, 2024. Participants receive race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal, and potential sponsor giveaways.
