Wild About Reading: Storytime and Crafts at Ross Park Zoo

The program will take place every Thursday in August from 11am to 12pm

This summer, the Ross Park Zoo is inviting young animal lovers to join them for Wild About Reading. This program is included with zoo admission, is open to kids of all ages, and takes place every Thursday in August from 11am to 12pm.

Each week, a different animal-themed book will be read aloud, followed by a fun craft. 

Here's the lineup:

  • August 1: Tortoise Book at Nature's Post
  • August 8: Sloth Book at Nature's Post
  • August 15: Lemur Book at Lemur Exhibit (Pallas shelter if bad weather)
  • August 22: Fennec Fox Book at Wonders
  • August 29: Kapok Tree Book focusing on Sloth at Nature's Post

Admission to the zoo is required to participate.

  • General Admission (ages 13 and older): $9
  • Children 3 to 12: $7
  • Discounted Admission (adults 55 and older, students with ID, military with ID): $8
  • Museums 4 All (EBT): $3
  • Group Rate (10 or more): $6
  • Children 2 and under: FREE
  • Ross Park Zoo Members: FREE
