By Kate Fletcher, Macaroni KID Binghamton Publisher June 9, 2024

Calling all believers in fairy magic! The 6th Annual Fairy Door Trail, brought to you by The Fairy Doors of Broome County and Nearby, is back to sprinkle some enchantment across Broome County from June 1st to June 30th, 2024.

Embark on a whimsical scavenger hunt in search of 18 hidden fairy doors nestled around Little Free Libraries, Blessing Boxes, and Seed Libraries. Some doors are within walking distance of each other, while others might require a car for your magical quest.

Here's the beauty of this adventure: you can choose your own path! Simply visit the doors and enjoy the wonder of finding these miniature works of art, or take it a step further and compete for the Grand Prize Package!

Here's how to compete:

  1. Follow the instructions at each stop: donate a book to the Little Free Library, contribute an item to the Blessing Box, or share some seeds with the Seed Library.
  2. Capture the magic! Take a selfie with your donation at each stop, along with the enchanted door.
  3. Share your fairy-filled adventures! Post your photos to the 2024 Fairy Door Trail Facebook Group with the hashtags #magiccomestobroomecounty and #Istillbelievein398point2

The first Adventurer or Adventurer Team to visit all 18 Doors and follow all the instructions will win a treasure trove of prizes!

The Grand Prize Package includes a 4-pack of tickets to the New York Faerie Festival happening from June 28th-30th, $25 Alphabet Soup gift certificate, $20 Shops of 607 gift certificate, a felted gnome from Juniper Felts, and a collection of other magical goodies!
