🎉 Kick Off the Summer With a Party!

Celebrate reading with the biggest party of the summer! Young readers are invited to a Summer Reading Celebration Party on Sunday, June 21st, at 12:00PM at Barnes & Noble in Vestal. Bring your parents or guardians and enjoy crafts, games, prizes, giveaways, sweet treats, and a very special storytime!

Summer is almost here, but that doesn't mean the learning has to stop. This year, Barnes & Noble's Summer Reading Program is back and offering a chance for kids in grades 1-6 to snag a FREE book just for reading!

Here's the Scoop:

  1. Grab your Summer Reading Journal: Download the official 2026 Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Journal online or head to your local Barnes & Noble and pick one up for free!
  2. Dive into 8 Books: You can choose ANY eight books you like! Read library books, borrow from friends, or select from your own collection.
  3. Track & Earn Stickers: As you read, log your books. Each time you finish two books, bring your journal into Barnes & Noble to receive an exclusive Summer Reading progress sticker and display your own recommendation slip in the store!
  4. Claim Your Prize: Once you've completed all four matchups (8 books total) and collected your stickers, head to Barnes & Noble between July 1st and August 31st, 2026.
  5. Choose a FREE Book: Present your completed journal to receive your special Barnes & Noble Champion sticker and choose a brand new book from the official 2026 list below—it's your free reward for all your summer reading fun!
