Wegmans Hit the Trail Passport: Explore Broome County's Parks

Check out these nine hiking trails, record your visits, and enter to win prizes!

Calling all outdoor adventurers! Wegmans has partnered with Broome County Parks and Recreation to offer the Wegmans Hit the Trail Passport program, and it's the perfect way to explore some awesome nature trails in our community.

Here's the Scoop:

  • Pick up your FREE Wegmans Hit the Trail Passport at the Wegmans Customer Service Desk in Johnson City, NY.
  • This handy booklet features nine beautiful trails located right here in Broome County.
  • Each trail boasts unique scenery and varying difficulty levels.

How to Play:

  1. Grab your passport and hit the trail! Each trail has a designated trail marker.
  2. Record your visit! Use a pencil or crayon to make a rubbing of the trail marker on the corresponding page in your passport. If you can't find the marker, don't sweat it! Snap a selfie at the park and email it to bcparks@broomecounty.us.

The Rewards:

  • Conquer FOUR trails and score a Wegmans reusable bag.
  • Complete EIGHT trails and you're entered to win the grand prize, a $250 Wegmans gift card and a free shelter rental at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton. 

Important Details:

  • There's no need to rush! You don't have to complete all eight trails in one year to qualify for the grand prize.
  • Turn in your completed passports to the Broome County Parks and Recreation Department (5th Floor, Broome County Office Building, 60 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY) by July 31st to be entered into the annual drawing held in early August.
