Calling all Binghamton families! Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon of learning and exploration at the 41st Annual Children's Fair hosted by the New York Association for the Education of Young Children (NYAEYC) and SUNY Broome Community College. This free event, taking place on Sunday, April 28th from 12pm to 4pm at the SUNY Broome Campus, celebrates the Month of the Young Child in a big way!
Over 20 interactive activities will be offered in the gymnasium by students and dozens of community partners. Let your little ones unleash their creativity, discover new interests, and develop valuable skills through hands-on experiences.
Looking for even more ways to engage your child? The fair has something for everyone:
- Get active! Join a kids yoga session or learn some lively Irish dance steps.
- Explore the outdoors! Take a guided hike on the SUNY Broome nature trail and reconnect with nature.
- Safety first! Have your car seat checked for proper installation by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.
- Big truck fans rejoice! Get up close and explore some amazing big trucks in the parking lot.
- Musical magic! John Simon and Cal Walker will bring the joy of music and storytelling with interactive renditions of songs based on books and books inspired by songs.
- Free book for every family! All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of "All Are Welcome" by Alexandra Penfold, promoting a message of inclusivity.
