Through support of the Community Foundation of South Central New York, the Binghamton Philharmonic presents a free Family Symphony Session 6:30-7:30pm on November 16, 2023 at the Broome County Forum Theatre.
The session will include a discussion about the upcoming concert, geared toward school-age children and their families, and a tour of the Forum as the musicians of the Binghamton Philharmonic set up and begin their concert rehearsal. The chat will explore the connections between music, sports, and games by asking playful questions, such as, "What do they have in common? Can an orchestra sound lively and exciting? What does a dancing Godzilla sound like?"
After the concert chat, children can experience all of the vantage points from any of the theatre seats, use their outside voices in the auditorium, and learn a bit about the history of the Forum. Attendees are welcome to stay for the entire rehearsal if desired.
Families interested in attending should submit the Family Symphony Session Registration Form.
First-time adult concert-goers will receive complimentary tickets to the Binghamton Philharmonic's concert, Faces of Joy, at 7:30pm on Saturday, November 18 at the Broome County Forum Theatre featuring joyful works by Beethoven, Prokofiev, and Wang Jie . Children 17 and under receive free tickets to attend all Binghamton Philharmonic concerts at the Broome County Forum Theatre this season thanks to its sponsors M&T Bank and Visions Federal Credit Union.
