In homage to the company’s hometown, the permanent exhibit features a replica of the first ever DICK’S Sporting Goods store located at 347 Court Street in Binghamton. The store is stocked with bait, tackle boxes, life jackets, cargo vests, and various sporting apparel. Kids can enjoy several interactive stations, including a fishing boat and pool, multi-sport simulator, and putting green.
The “Sports Matter” exhibit extends into the Story Garden where you'll find an outdoor golf chipping experience in honor of the late Tim Myers, a beloved DICK’S Sporting Goods teammate and the heart and soul of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open.
This exciting new exhibit highlights the importance and impact of sports on children’s lives on and off the field. It provides kids a fun opportunity to play and learn about a variety of sports while celebrating the deep history of DICK’S Sporting Goods in the Binghamton community.
Access to the indoor exhibit features is included with admission to The Discovery Center which is $10 per person and free for members and children under 1. The outdoor golf chipping experience in the Story Garden is free, but the equipment used to play is only available during Museum hours: Monday-Friday: 10AM-3PM; Saturday: 10AM-5PM; Sunday: 12PM-5PM.
