Shepherds Camp at Arrowhead

2018 Summer Camps

By Kat Troy April 30, 2018

Shepherds Camp at Arrowhead offers Christian camping for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. Shepherds camp has an exciting Bible based program with a full summer of camp opportunities and a rich history of serving adults with developmental disabilities since 1962.

Campers sleep in cabins or dormitories and are invited to join us for camp activities such as archery, bocce ball, arts & crafts, music & Bible, mini golf, group games, and chapel. Our facility sits on a beautiful clear lake, providing the opportunity for optional waterfront activities including wading, swimming, and boating. Each week we also provide special programs and activities including: talent show, picnics, movie night, water games, hayrides, dance parties, musical guests, and theme night.

Our camp is inspected every year by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Broome NY Developmental Services. Shepherds Camp has been approved by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) to care for campers with developmental disabilities. We are able to accommodate wheelchairs, feeding tubes, food modifications, supra-pubic catheters/colostomy bags, and the need for bed rails, Hoyer lifts, 24-hour supervision, and more. Shepherds Camp serves campers of all ages!
